Sabrina (1954)

A woman happily in love, she burns the souffle. A woman unhappily in love, she forgets to turn on the oven.
his past love: no man walks alone from choice…

Father: He’s still David Larrabee, and you’re still the chauffeur’s daughter. And you’re still reaching for the moon!
Sabrina: No father… the moon is reaching for me.
A bit of a bore, perhaps mom is right about it being no better than the Sabrina starred by Harrison Ford. Sabrina 1954 is a classic black and white movie. Her dress are so beautiful. I love how they bring out her sharp yet soft silhouette. She’s skinny, but she’s got curves too. I suppose petticoats help to accentuate those hips. How jealous. And those eyebrows. So prominently dark and thick. The 50s eyebrows are into that sort of thing – dark and thick. Then into the 60s, that when’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s came out, her eyebrows were not as dark and black. It’s still thick, but not as dark as it was in the 50s. She’s so beautiful.
I’ve always dreamt about living in an apartment alone, in Paris, with a kitty kat. That’s what she did in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, although she was in New York. In Sabrina, she went to Paris for 2 years, alone and spoke and learnt fluent French. Oh, that’s what I want – to live in Paris in a beautiful apartment. I’ve also always wanted to live in a 7 bedroom mansion when I get married (lol!). Well, Sabrina lived in way more than 7 bedroom mansion as the rich family’s chauffeur's daughter. sigh… I never watched Audrey Hepburn’s movies before these holidays. *daydreams* Need to live in Paris. Need to have a kitty kat. Want to live in a 7 bedroom mansion, with a Maserati. I’m reaching for the moon.
