Friday with friends

It’s been a while since the close friends got together and have a relaxed chat. Josh, Tom, Toban, Rohan and I went to the city on Friday night, after having dinner in res (Tom cooked). I haven’t seen Tom in AGES. He was always studying and studying and just… not there. I suppose he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do. Excusable for a med kid. Anyway, it took up 1 hour 30 minutes to get to Clayton station. I know right. We kept missing our bus rides. Should only take us 15 minutes to get to Clayton.

Anyway, once in the city, we headed Mlebourne Central’s direction. Walked pass the State Library and I just had to snap a few photos. It was beautiful. We turned around and saw this pretty lounge/bar on the second floor with a big balcony. It looked cosy and sounded loud, so why not. Turns out, it was the best Asian Lounge we’ve been to - yet. We absolutely loved that place and that red couch. So cosy and comfortable. The boys loved it so much that they declared it their default city bar/lounge. Asian pride! :)

After, the place closed (a bit early =( ) and we went to that Lion Hotel. I have no idea why European bars call themselves “hotel” when it’s a bar. Strange. There, Toban and Tom were amused by their pint glasses – and the former snuck one out… in my bag. shame… All in all, it was a good catch-up session. Particularly with Tom, since he sat next to me and we just talked about Malaysia, Med, Holiday plans and future plans. It was good to finally see Tom again. He was always the one studying in his room, away with all the med kids, or in the study room. But now that exam’s are over, we’re all good again. :) yay!
